So we've talked a lot about viral dance clips on the web, but so far they all seem to feature humans! We know how popular dance videos are. And we know how popular clips of cute animals are. And that got me thinking: are there any neat videos out there featuring dancing animals? Or are we only attracted to dance when
we're the ones doing it?
Somebody out there has got have some videos for me. I've got one to start off with: the dubstep bird. This parakeet gets down more than most humans I know; I guess grimy bass is dug by man and beast alike.

Actually, there is a viral dancing animal video. It's one of my favorites, and it's of Snowball the Cockatoo. He actually keeps the beat and has some nice steps. But his musical taste is questionable: he prefers the Backstreet Boys.

There is actually a scientific paper on Snowball's abilities:

The bird has disproved a theory that held that only humans could synchronize their movements with a beat. As it turns out, it may be an ability of all the animals who have the ability to "speak" or emulate sounds (including "talking" birds and dolphins), because they (we) have a part of the brain that allows the muscles to match something we hear - we need this in order to learn to speak.
